Source Capital, through its third credit fund, is pleased to announce its investment in Eastern DataComm ('EDI"), a provider of integrated communication and security systems with a key focus on the K-12 education sector. Source Capital supported the acquisition of EDI by private equity sponsor Baymark Partners, providing debt financing and an equity co-investment to finance the transaction.
Based in Hackensack, NJ, EDI serves as a strategic communications and technology partner for companies across multiple sectors. EDI's signature offering is its patented Lockdown & Emergency Notification System ("LENS"), which integrates multiple communications technologies to provide an automated lockdown and emergency notification solution for schools.
"EDI provides a diverse product offering to its respective markets while gaining market share with their LENS product to provide enhanced safety and security for students and staff in the K-12 space. We look forward to supporting Baymark and EDI as they continue to grow the business," said Joe Rodgers, Managing Director at Source Capital.
